Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Heartland Apostolic Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Heartland members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as cleaning the church, to preparing the church bulletins.  Ministry Matters classes are also held periodically for any new members wishing to become a part of Heartland’s ministries.

Heartland is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. Heartland Apostolic Church currently supports missionaries in 8 countries—Taiwan, Cyprus, East Asia, the Middle East, Paraguay/Peru, Costa Rica, Belize and the Phillipines.  We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists.  These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of Heartland Apostolic Church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

The usher team at Heartland fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free.

mediaMedia & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Heartland Apostolic Church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes.

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Heartland is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday the Church is open to prayer 30 minutes before morning service.   Throughout  the week, prayer warriors are always needed to pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. The church also comes together for a special time of open prayer on the 3rd and 4th Tuesday of each month.

ChildrensMinistryChildren’s Ministry

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Heartland holds children’s classes in conjunction with the main service on Sunday mornings. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s ministry team have a large variety of different teaching techniques.

The mission of Tupelo Children’s Mansion is to offer hope through the love of Jesus Christ to orphaned or disadvantaged children by providing their physical, spiritual, emotional, social, and educational needs . . . contributing to their health, security and happiness, and equipping them to lead productive lives.  Heartland believes in the work of TCM and sponsors a child, Taylor, from the mansion.

Faith Comes By Hearing

Across the USA, churches, radio stations, tv stations, and people like you are standing strong with our military, showing support and spreading God’s Word to those in harm’s way.  Through Faith Comes By Hearing’s Military BibleStick project, “Deploying the Truth”, our nation’s troops are hearing the Word of God while on (or preparing for) deployment.  Heartland supports our troops by donating to this worthy cause.
